Couples Scramble – August 22nd  at 9:00 AM.  Signup sheet is posted in clubhouse or please contact Sam Brown for further info @330-863-0181. Prize money will be determined by total number of entrants. We are limiting the number of entrants to 48, so sign up early. Cost is $ 10 for members and $20 for non-members. Each couple should bring a covered dish (for your mulligan).  Food will be provided at the turn and meat furnished for the covered dish to follow.  Teams will be selected in the same manner as our last couples scramble.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP – AUGUST 29TH   ALL FLIGHTS - SAME DAY

We will have our Hole in One / Closest to Pin Fundraiser over Labor Day Weekend. Sign up sheet to volunteer will be posted in the Clubhouse.  Congratulations to our July 4th winners:  John Young, Justin Saltz, and Pat Nelson.
Also a huge thank you to the volunteers who gave of their time: Bob & Lottie Sponseller (all 3 days ), Bob Puz, Keith & Sharon Pool, Kenn & Garnet Subak, Jim & Shirley Wilson, Ken & Ethel Morrison, and Sandy & Gary Schmucker.
The Junior Golf Camp was a success. There were 18 participants from age 6 to 12. Mark Gamertsfelder and Don Gamertsfelder were the instructors.  The new golfers took the class seriously and they improved their understanding of the game.
There were two “3-hole” tournaments during the week. The first was a scramble and the team named the “Eagles” were the winners with a score of 11 (holes 7,8, and 9). The team members were Otto van Willigan, Timmy Balogh, Adam Shaw, Matt Fennel and Luke Selogy.
The second was an individual tournament for ages 6-9 and 10-12. The winner of the 6-9 age group was Luke Fennel with a 14 and the winner of the 10-12 age group was Adam Shaw with a 14.
Congratulations to all the participants and all the parents, grandparents, golf club officers, and friends for their time, effort and prizes.

The Firehouse Outing had 44 golfers competing. Hot dogs, hamburgs, chips, and potato salad were served. Prizes were awarded to the first place teams. A good time was had by all.

The plan to increase the compliance of our HONOR SYSTEM of paying for green/trail fees when the clubhouse is unattended is still in effect.  The Golf Club Thanks you in advance for your honesty.
