GOLF CLUB NEWS - JULY 2009
SUMMER IS HERE!
The course is in great shape due to the outstanding efforts of Chuck, Dan, Ron, and our Volunteers
(Especially Nancy and Jerry Knapp for their weeding the Rocks along the driveway)
We now have golf bags, Logo balls, LM Golf Club hats and LM Golf Club Shirts available for sale at the Clubhouse.
Our next meeting will be July 8th at 6:00 PM in the Golf Clubhouse. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. We will be posting the minutes of our monthly meetings in the Clubhouse and on our website (see below).
4 Person Scramble held June 13th. We had an excellent turnout. The Brown/Plisko team won 1st place with a 1 under par 59. Team Knapp/Campitelli and Team Morrison/George tied for 2nd at one over par 61. We wish to thank the following for their prize donations: Furey Motors, Ron Ruegg Auto Repair, LM Golf, Woods Grocery, Great Trail Golf Course, Wendell Ford, Dorsey’s, Firehouse, Contini Insurance, Timken Co., Karen Polony, Ethel Morrison, and Jeff Lones. We are planning another scramble for later in the summer. Stay Tuned!
Anyone wanting to donate mulch, flowers, etc. should leave word at the clubhouse or contact an Officer. Your Donation will be greatly appreciated.

Youth Golf Camp
-Open for kids from 8-12 years old
-The class is meant for beginners new to golf
-Must bring your own balls and clubs (Driver, Putter, 9-iron/pitching wedge, 5-iron, 7-iron)
Planned Program
Mon. July 20 Etiquette/Fundamentals (the boring stuff) and Full Swing
Tues. July 21 Pitch/Chip/Bunker Shots/Putting
Wed. July 22 NO CLASS
Thurs. July 23 On course instruction
Fri. July 24 3-Hole Tournament/hot dogs & prizes (the fun stuff)
Time is from 9:30 to 11:00 AM
Cost: $30.00 (Donated to Golf Club)

The plan to increase the compliance of our HONOR SYSTEM of paying for green/trail fees when the clubhouse is unattended is in effect. Please keep your receipt with you during play that day. Ignorance of the need to pay before you play is no longer a valid excuse. The Golf Club Thanks you for your anticipated honesty.
The Course Ranger is now out at various times and days. He will check for those who have not paid their green fees and /or trail fee for non member carts. He also monitors the course for slow play will take what ever action is necessary to speed play. Remember the $ 4.00 non member cart fee, starting your round on hole #1, and signing in if the clubhouse is open. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
