Minutes
June 10, 2009
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by President Don Franz.
Board Members in attendance were Don Franz, Sam Brown, Norm Mankins, Gary Schmucker, Club Manager Bill Davidson, and Executive Board member Ron Lewis. There were 11 Club members present.
President Franz stated we had received our new LMGC logo balls, their cost and selling price. He also stated that the membership for 2009 is now about the same as in 2008. In addition, he updated us on the status of the Pepsi machine.
Treasurer Norm Mankins presented his financial report in which he gave balances as of May 31, 2009. We had a beginning check book balance on May 1st of $ 17,632.19. Our total income was 13,571.87 minus total expenses of $ 5,563.03 leaving a net income of 8,008.84. Check book balance on May 31, 2009 is $ 25,641.03 compared to this time last year of $ 7,506.25.
Vice President Brown stated we still need volunteers to work in the clubhouse, course and at other Club functions. Sam discussed the upcoming scrambles and the need for members to support them. He stated there is a Couples scramble on June 13th, and the Firehouse Outing on June 14th.
Motion made by Franz and seconded by Mankins to approve the May 2009 minutes carried.
Ron Lewis brought up the need to replace the deck boards around the Clubhouse. He suggested we look into the cost of TREX to use for the replacement boards. He stated that TREX seconds are available at a substantial savings from a nearby supplier.
